Not the greatest school. Average to below average education. Small staff makes it difficult to teach students to their individual levels. Many teachers do at least seem to put in the effort. Staff is mostly good, though it does appear to be mismanaged at times. Student body is not always the best, though the bigots are mostly a vocal minority.
I will tell you it is for the better. They are way ahead of us as a country. But you didn't hear about that because the media doesn't care. The media only cares about what makes you angry. They only care about hate.
I know first hand what is going on. The changes they have made. A good friend of mines daughter goes to school there. She is openly bi. And she says that the whole thing was blown out of proportion but the school is better for the events which did occur.
I have been analyzing human sexual behavior since 1968.
You have no idea what has transpired at the school since this has happened.
7) A mother loses more testosterone with the more male children she bears. In other words, the youngest male offspring is more likely not to be straight, versus the first-born male child who is more likely to be straight.
Schools are suppose to be places that we learn from, not the other way around. Anyways, here are some, not all, science facts that all schools should teach to their students, and homophobes should learn:
10) Like they always say: "The Difference Between A Straight Guy, And A Gay Guy, Is A 6-Pack Of Beer".
9) Usually, the more a person is verbally and/or physically homophobe towards others, the more likely that that person might not be so straight after all.
1) Every human being in the world is born with bisexual tenancies --- yes, everyone.
3) There are LGBT people in every job occupation in America.
8) Every person has had a dream, and/or thoughts, about a same-gender sexual experience. That is normal. That person is not necessarily bi or gay.
The Anti-Gay day was a peaceful protest. There was no shoving of LGBT students. Also, no scripture was put on the LGBT student's lockers. What proof does the school district, the LGBT students, or parents have that posters and scripture was hung on lockers or that people work physically harassed. I go here, there are security cameras everywhere, they surely would have seen something. The students did not want gay rights shoved down their throats. If someone can say pro gay, someone can say anti gay. Also, this was a religious protest. 1 Corinthians 6:9-10 says homosexuality is a sin. Look it up. But, I don't hate these students or think of myself as over them. I have sinned too. Love the sinner, hate the sin is my motto. These students did nothing wrong and were only trying to prove a point. The only bullying that happened was a LGBT student drew male genitals on a protester's face and wrote anti gay my rear end. Also, there was no rumored Lynch list. It was something students made up for the news so they would get support even though they were lying. Also, this was not a hate crime. God is love, but sin is sin. You are calling these kids bigots, but you are just taking what the news told you and what students made up to truth. Well, it's fiction. The definition of bigot is a person who is intolerant toward those holding different opinions. You won't even take the reasons the students peacefully protested into consideration, you just jump on the gay bandwagon. So, who is the bigot now. I'm a Christian, and if they decide to do the day of silence again this year, guess what, I will protest too. The school also has a policy that you should not kiss in hallways. My friend and his girlfriend were called down to the office and told not to kiss anymore, but when my mom picks me up from school, usually on the way down I see lesbians kissing in the middle of the hallway. So, is it a hate crime on my straight friend and his straight girlfriend who were kissing in the hallway, because the lesbians were not told to stop. But, if someone tells the lesbians to stop, it is a hate crime. I know it is insane. I will also take any punishment that comes from my school for this writing or for my peaceful protesting.
The funny part is you are basing your opinions solely on what you've heard from the media. Shame on you. Shame on you all.

2) Every family tree has a least one LGBT person in it -- including yours. (I had a gay uncle).
5) Churches are a great place to find closeted LGBT people -- even straight churches like yours.
Ignoring all the comments about the anti-gay protest by a few individuals a year ago which has nothing to do with the school itself, here is my opinion from somebody that actually went to school here. This school has some of the worst scores in the state. A good portion of the teachers are simply not very good at their job. The administration is appalling. Football is more important than education or anything. Spend $2 million on a football field and then try to cut the marching band to save money. Seriously? At the time I went there, if you took French or German you would learn things, if you took Spanish you would not. I took 4 years if Spanish and got an A in every class, yet cannot form more than one or two sentences. The students mostly are farmers and have no wish to learn, but are generally good people. There are no gangs and bullying is actually quite minimal. The school still has mold problems but is otherwise kept quite clean.
So before you start spreading your hate and rage why don't you do some research. Because a lot of you sound like asses.
I think some of the comments are warranted. But some of you are no better than the so called bigots you claim "everyone" is that went there.
